Ubuntu 9.10 sarà Karmic Koala, e abbandonerà il marrone.

È di poche ore fa l'annuncio ufficiale firmato da Mark Shuttleworth secondo cui Ubuntu 9.10, la versione che succederà a Jaunty Jackalope, si chiamerà Karmic Koala.

Assieme a queste parole che segnalano solo un codename e nulla di più, Mark fornisce altre indicazioni sugli obiettivi di questa prossima release.

The desktop will have a designer's fingerprints all over it - we're now
beginning the serious push to a new look. Brown has served us well but
the Koala is considering other options. Come to UDS for a preview of the
whole new look.

Insomma, da quanto possiamo leggere Ubuntu 9.10 non sarà marrone. Mi chiedo dunque che colore adotterà; forse una sfumatura migliore, o forse si cambierà completamente veste grafica. Io proporrei... un verdino? :)
